Ladymagic was founded in
1985 with the purchase of my first sheltie "Shelby"
Ch & OT Ch Pumpkin Golden Dream (HIT). A few months after the purchase
of Shelby, I had to buy another one; can anyone just have only one,
really! He was a blue merle named "Phoenix," Orkney's good Times in
Phoenix, CDX. In 1988, I bought my foundation bitch "Magic" Ch Maplehaven's Magic Morning, CDX (HIT) ROMC. See CSSA-Dec 1999-Newsletter
for a tribute to Magic. Magic was bred only 4 times and her offspring
are continuing to win in both rings as well as her grandchildren. Her
influence can be seen in Canada and the US.
Ladymagic accomplished Perm Reg'd status in very short order, in my first 3 litters. I only average 1 litter every year or so.
About Margaret: As well as being a member of several clubs, I have also held various positions, such as Treasurer, Event secretary, Event superintendent, etc. I regularly do fund raising for several national clubs. During my undoggy life, I’m employed full time since 1974 (over 30 yrs) for The Brick, currently in the capacity of Inventory Control. Because of my busy schedule, I keep my numbers down to only 4 to 6 at a time. I can be seen regularly either - exhibiting – as event secretary – or helping out clubs wherever possible. I have had in the past several years the pleasure to exhibit several other breeds as well as other breeder’s shelties - thank you.
Club’s that I belong to : Working & Herding Dog Association of Alberta - Edmonton Kennel Club - Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association – Papillon Club of Canada – Canadian Kennel Club.
I also assist these clubs whenever possible: Battle River Canine Association - Lethbridge & District Kennel Club – Weimaraner National Specialty.
